Overview

Foundation Years
St. Gregory’s High School’s Preschool division i.e. foundation years provides a nurturing environment for children ages 2.5-5.5 years of age. SGHS engages children through creative play and hands on learning with fun, encouraging our youngest students to begin to develop an understanding of the world around them. Every child is given the opportunity to flourish developmentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. All of our loving staff members have training in Early Childhood Education. We promote curiosity and creativity, while building our young learner’s self esteem. Our Foundations years inspires and fosters creative skills and imagination that is inviting children to try new things and step outside of their comfort zone in a safe, nurturing setting. This rich and varied program works to enhance their wonder of learning while preparing them for tomorrow. SGHS builds a classroom culture that fosters kindness, respect and self-control. Our curriculum allows more time for teachers to work one on one and hands on with our students. This, in turn allows us to spend more time in training our preschoolers on proper peer to peer communication, making good decisions and being kind to others. It is as important as teaching our young students how to recognize their colors shapes and letter sounds.

Primary Years
Our primary years offer an academically challenging, age-appropriate program developed to build confident and caring learners. With small classes and high degree of personal attention and differentiated learning, our students are introduced to a broad spectrum of experiences at a young age. Teachers understand the intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs of each student. Our research-based curriculum encourages students to develop independence, creativity, problem-solving abilities, perseverance, and confidence. Our teachers provide a multitude of opportunities from which children learn and grow. Our teachers encourage our students to initiate and take responsibility for their own learning and focus on their inner talent.

Middle Years
Our Middle school courses are structured to strengthen student’s organizational and individual study skills which are designed to engage critical-thinking skills as it is a crucial time in a student’s academic, social, and emotional development. Student work to develop consistency in their work through advanced learning tool in order to meet their standards. SGHS encourages students to understand the connections between subjects and the real world. Within the school, students take on any number of roles. Beyond the school, we aim to provide students the understanding and opportunity to realize their impact as global responsible citizens.
